We have a new opportunity for a Senior Data Management professional to join the RLAM Data Management team and lead on Data Management operations.

As part of the Data Management leadership team, you will be responsible for shaping and growing the team to meet business needs. You will lead the introduction of new and complex assets, improve processes, and act as the senior escalation point for Data Operational questions.

This is an exciting time to join RLAM’s Data function as we support the business to become more data-driven in decision making.

About the role

  1. Overall responsibility for Data Operations and services.
  2. Engage with stakeholders to understand how data supports business capabilities.
  3. Motivate, engage, and develop team members.
  4. Deliver service improvements with measurable metrics.
  5. Manage risks and controls, including risk events.
  6. Enhance service offerings, improve issue management, and focus on data quality.
  7. Collaborate with the Data Advice team on projects.
  8. Resolve data issues and escalations proactively.
  9. Chair the Portfolio Working Group and manage associated risks.
  10. Promote a culture of innovation to improve operational efficiency.

About you

  1. Experience in data management and operations within financial services, ideally Asset Management.
  2. Leadership experience in managing data teams and implementing strategic changes.
  3. Strong communication skills to manage stakeholder expectations and resolve data issues.
  4. Familiarity with various data types and formats, large and small datasets.
  5. Knowledge of core data domains: Security, Portfolio, Transaction, Benchmark, Reference Data, Performance, Client.
  6. Experience across asset classes and trade lifecycle, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, etc.
  7. Exposure to systems like Aladdin, Markit EDM, Bloomberg, Refinitiv, FactSet.
  8. Ambitious and curious mindset, aiming to make a significant impact.
