Overview

Travelers Europe is seeking a Senior Director of Data Management to lead our data engineering initiatives. This role involves managing a team responsible for designing and building data solutions that support AI and business intelligence, ensuring resilient and scalable applications, and liaising with various stakeholders to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Data Management team to achieve development goals.
• Define business requirements and develop data solutions using preferred methodologies and platforms.
• Oversee data product development, automation, and operational support.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects and external vendors.
• Ensure adherence to development standards and support user training.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies like Cloud and AI.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Insurance IT, preferably Lloyd’s Market.
• Proven leadership in managing large, dynamic teams.
• Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization.
• Knowledge of Lloyds Insurance, Reinsurance, GAAP, Actuarial Reserves, and Regulatory Reports.
• Technical expertise in Databases, ETL processes, Python, AWS, and Agile methodologies.
• Educational background in Computer Science or related fields.
