Job summary

Derby City Council is seeking a Senior Analyst to join the SEND Sufficiency, Partnership and Compliance service. You will turn complex data into clear insight, producing reports and dashboards to support decision-making for children, young people and families.

You will work with SEND, education, children’s and adult social care, health information, extracting and transforming data using SSMS and Power BI. You will provide statistical returns, contribute to service planning, and mentor

Qualifications

• Experience in management information, performance or BI environment.
• Experience producing performance data for managers and senior leaders.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear analytics and insight across SEND and related services.
• Develop and maintain reports and interactive dashboards using Power BI.
• Extract, transform and analyse data from multiple systems.
• Produce concise reports and briefings for senior managers.
• Support statutory data returns (SEND2, Alternative Provision Census, CLD).
• Contribute to service planning and improvement initiatives.
