Job summary

Hillingdon Council is seeking a SEND Reform Data Officer to turn complex data into actionable insight that informs SEND services, early intervention and outcomes for children and families across the borough.

You will develop dashboards using Power BI, SQL and Excel, analyse performance and financial data, and provide reporting for senior leaders and partnership boards, contributing to continuous improvement and inspection readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience in data analysis, business intelligence or performance reporting.
• Strong skills in Power BI, Excel and data visualisation.
• Experience using SQL or similar data querying tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings to non-technical audiences.
• A commitment to data quality, accuracy and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and analytical products using Power BI, SQL and other reporting tools.
• Analyse operational, performance and financial data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Support the monitoring and evaluation of SEND Reform initiatives, including Experts at Hand.
• Produce reports and presentations for senior leaders, programme boards and partners.
• Support statutory reporting, quality assurance and performance monitoring.
• Help improve data quality, consistency and accessibility across SEND services.
• Work with colleagues to develop meaningful measures and reporting frameworks.
• Contribute to SEND inspection readiness and continuous improvement activity.
