Job summary

Menzies LLP is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design and deliver scalable data pipelines into BigQuery, integrating data from diverse sources. You will shape the GCP approach, champion engineering standards, and collaborate with stakeholders to turn business needs into reusable data products.

You will mentor colleagues, drive security and governance by design, and help deliver value through accessible warehouse outputs for Power BI and internal apps.

Qualifications

• Experience in data engineering and analytics platforms.
• Proficient in SQL and Python for production data solutions.
• Strong knowledge of cloud data warehouses (BigQuery) and GCP ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of scalable data pipelines into BigQuery.
• Shape the engineering approach across GCP using BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub and Datastream.
• Set high engineering standards including data modelling, dbt transformations, testing and monitoring.
• Partner with teams to turn business needs into scalable data products.
• Embed security, governance and GDPR compliance by design.
