Job summary

Menzies LLP is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead the development and operation of our GCP data warehouse. You will design scalable data pipelines and champion best practices across data modelling, testing and governance.

You’ll mentor engineers, partner with stakeholders, and enable accessible data outputs via Power BI and internal apps. London-based with flexible hybrid options may apply.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL and Python skills with production data solutions.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses, preferably BigQuery.
• Knowledge of GCP ecosystem and data security/governance responsibilities.
• Ability to lead, mentor and raise engineering standards across the team.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of scalable data pipelines into BigQuery from diverse sources.
• Shape engineering approach across GCP including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Datastream, Cloud Composer/Airflow.
• Set high engineering standards across data modelling, dbt, testing, monitoring, deployment and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with teams to turn business needs into scalable data products.
