Job summary

Point72 is seeking a Senior Data/Software Engineer to join its Market Intelligence team in the UK. You will design and build end-to-end data solutions, pipelines, and APIs, collaborating with investment professionals, researchers, and data scientists to transform data into actionable insights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Data or Software Engineering
• 2+ years Python development
• Experience with system design and leading multi-person development efforts
• Experience with distributed data processing frameworks like Spark
• Experience with building scalable APIs and backend infrastructure
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and data storage/compute
• Experience with Airflow
• Knowledge of LangChain or similar frameworks is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and launch robust end-to-end business solutions including data pipelines, products and tools
• Develop big data processing pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and analytics-ready data assets
• Create reusable software components, libraries, and APIs for rapid experimentation and production deployment
• Implement data quality, lineage, and governance controls for reliable, auditable data
• Build scalable AI-native cloud infrastructure using distributed systems techniques
• Benchmark and improve performance, cost, and reliability of software systems
