Point72's Technology team in the United Kingdom is seeking a senior quantitative engineer to design risk models and build analytics for its global investment platform.

You will work with risk quants, engineers, and researchers to translate business problems into scalable data and software solutions, leveraging Python, SQL, and modern data architectures. This role offers opportunities to impact multi-billion-dollar business.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of equity factor models and their construction and application.
• Hands-on experience in financial instrument modeling in equities.
• 5+ years of programming in Python or similar for quantitative work.
• Experience with layered data architecture (bronze/silver/gold) and data pipelines.
• Advanced SQL skills in large-scale data environments.
• Solid knowledge of CS algorithms and data structures.
• Background in CS, math, physics or related technical fields.
• Team player with strong communication and ethics.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Risk quants to design new risk factor models and refine existing ones.
• Develop quantitative risk and performance analytics to proactively anticipate and address stakeholder needs.
• Build a scalable reporting framework capable of processing terabytes of data for complex risk calculations.
• Collaborate with engineers on system design, code quality, and architecture decisions across the team's shared codebase.
• Partner directly with risk, research and other internal teams to translate ambiguous business problems into technical requirements and solutions.
