Job summary

Nexus Careers Group Ltd is seeking a Design Manager to lead design coordination for a portfolio of data centre developments. Hybrid role across UK sites with travel to data centre locations.

You will oversee external consultants, engineers and contractors to ensure on-time delivery to the highest technical standards. The role requires a strong engineering background in building services or mission critical environments, with experience delivering complex projects through all design stages.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading design management on major data centre or mission critical projects.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams through the full design lifecycle.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to review technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Own design management across multiple projects, ensuring coordination and technical compliance with programmes.
• Lead design development from concept to construction with architects, consultants and contractors.
• Coordinate design reviews, manage technical risks, monitor progress and maintain stakeholder communications.
• Develop technical standards, specifications and design documentation; support procurement and commissioning.
