Job summary

Accenture PLC is seeking a senior cost management professional to lead day-to-day cost management activities for a multi-phase data center program in the UK. You will prepare detailed cost plans, budgets, and estimates, while acting as the primary client interface with project teams, contractors, and consultants.

The role requires a strong background in cost estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and risk reviews, with experience in procurement, change management, and value engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or related field.
• 6–8+ years of cost management, quantity surveying, or project controls experience.
• Experience supporting large-scale, mission-critical, industrial, or complex commercial construction projects.
• Strong understanding of cost estimating, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cost control systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day cost management activities for a multi-phase data center program.
• Prepare and maintain detailed cost plans, budgets, and estimates across multiple packages and stages.
• Act as a key client interface, supporting communication and coordination with project teams, contractors, and consultants.
• Support procurement activities, including issuing RFPs, reviewing contractor proposals, conducting scope reviews, and assisting in commercial negotiations.
• Lead cost reporting, including monthly reports, cash flow forecasts, commitment tracking, and risk reviews.
• Oversee change management processes: review, analyze, negotiate, and reconcile change orders.
• Support value engineering and design-to-budget initiatives throughout design and delivery.
• Provide cost input into scheduling, risk, and project controls processes.
• Maintain accurate benchmarking, cost databases, and historical cost records.
• Mentor junior cost managers and quantity surveyors as needed.
