Job summary

Linesight is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to lead cost control, tender analysis, and final accounts for complex projects. You will mentor teams, manage change, prepare cost plans, and ensure value for money across bids and projects.

The role includes relocation support to the United States, pre-contract cost management, and excellent communication with clients and stakeholders to deliver optimal project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Quantity Surveying qualification with 3+ years post grad experience.
• Experience as Cost Manager/QS, ideally from a consultancy background.
• Experience in pre-contract cost management, budget control, cost planning, initiating change forms for discussion with project stakeholders.
• Chartership (RICS) or on the path to complete it.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in tender/bid process from documentation through analysis and reporting.
• Manage the change management process—identify, analyze, approve, and implement changes affecting project cost.
• Analyze tenders/bids to ensure client value for money.
• Assist in preparing and agreeing final accounts, including handling claims to ensure client value.
• Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments.
• Oversee project spend by creating valuations and cost reports, and communicate variations clearly.
• Support project management with cost documentation and timely communication.
• Support settlement of disputes/loss and expense claims with transparency.
• Mentor and lead teams to foster top performance and growth.
