Job summary

Apple is seeking a Data Architect for EMEIA Sales to shape how the sales organisation uses data for critical business decisions. You will build infrastructure for AI-powered retrieval, become the backbone for AI assistants, copilots, and language interfaces, and work with sales, data scientists, and engineers to deliver production-grade data platforms.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience in data engineering, ML, or closely related field with production work.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL across ingestion pipelines to model inference.
• Experience designing data lakes or lakehouses with heterogeneous data sources.
• Solid understanding of modern RAG architectures, embedding models, vector stores and retrieval evaluation.
• Experience building AI agents and multi-agent workflows with orchestration patterns.
• Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar tool-serving frameworks.
• Strong data quality practices: lineage, schema validation, deduplication, multi-source consistency.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into well-scoped data/AI problems and communicate with non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and serverless compute patterns.
• Familiarity with Airflow, Prefect, or equivalent for multi-step pipelines.
• Comfort with evolving requirements; know when to prototype vs productionise.
