Job summary

Digital Waffle, a leading ecommerce retailer, is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to drive smarter, commercially focused decisions. This hands-on role includes leading a small team, mentoring analysts and shaping reporting, data models and dashboards.

You will translate large datasets into actionable insights that improve commercial performance, manage stakeholder requests, and collaborate with the Data Science Manager on the analytics roadmap. Hybrid work in Hereford, 2–3 days on site.

Qualifications

Extensive commercial experience in data analytics or BI.
Excellent SQL skills for querying large-scale datasets.
Experience building dashboards, databases and reporting solutions.
Proven ability to translate data into actionable commercial insights.
Experience mentoring or managing junior analysts.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Solid commercial awareness and understanding of business performance.
Experience with cloud data platforms and modern BI tools.
Highly organized, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain complex data models, dashboards, reporting systems and automated analytics workflows.
Lead and mentor a small team of Data Analysts, providing technical guidance.
Turn large datasets into clear, actionable insights that drive commercial performance.
Lead cross-functional analytics projects and identify optimisation opportunities.
Own the quality and consistency of reporting across the business.
Manage data requests, prioritise effectively and delegate work.
Improve BI tools, processes and reporting standards.
Collaborate with the Data Science Manager on the wider analytics roadmap.
