Job summary

Halfords is recruiting a Senior Data Analyst to bridge operational and digital analytics. You will craft data stories, build Power BI dashboards, and present insights to senior stakeholders across trading, ecommerce, and finance. A data migration project will expose you to the new data architecture.

You will own analysis projects, run deep dive SQL, and partner with Data Science to shape customer understanding and strategic decisions. The role is based at our Redditch centre with hybrid working.

Qualifications

• Advanced SQL skills for extracting and manipulating large datasets.
• Strong Power BI skills to build clear, commercially useful dashboards.
• Experience with GA4 in a database environment and digital analytics.
• Analytical experience in UK retail or digital commerce, with a quantitative degree.
• Confident communicator who can present to senior stakeholders.
• Autonomous, able to manage multiple briefs and push back when needed.
• Python and familiarity with Databricks or Salesforce are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of analysis projects from trading to director level.
• Write advanced SQL to extract and structure data from transactional and digital sources.
• Build, maintain, and improve Power BI dashboards for commercial visibility.
• Translate business challenges into analytical briefs and actionable insights.
• Analyze customer journeys, funnels, and channel performance across sources.
• Collaborate with Data Science and Market Research to integrate insights.
