Job summary

WRK digital are partnering with a high-profile e-commerce organisation to hire a Senior Data Analyst on a permanent basis. You will work hands-on with modern BI tools, designing and creating optimal processes to ensure data accuracy and consistent reporting, while extracting actionable insights to drive business growth.

You will lead by example, mentor a small team of two data analysts, manage data requests, and guide cross-functional projects using SQL, Looker and GCP to deliver measurable

Qualifications

• A practical background in data and analytics space where you have demonstrated the ability to use data for actionable insight.
• Strong SQL skills, ability to perform effective querying of large-scale datasets.
• Experience working with and creating databases and dashboards using all relevant data to inform decisions.
• Experience with cloud databases, Google Cloud Platform, Looker and/or Google Analytics would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Build, develop, and maintain complex data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards, and performance metrics that support key business decisions.
• Directly manage, motivate, and engage a team of two data analysts; provide hands-on technical support and mentorship.
• Champion actionable insights and focus the team on efficient development and delivery.
• Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data analysis to guide strategic decisions.
• Oversee the team's data request process including tracking, prioritizing, and delegating tasks.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will work hands-on with some of the best modern tools in BI and analytics. You will ensure data accuracy and consistent reporting by designing and creating optimal processes and procedures, acting as a technical guide for your team. You will lead by example in extracting actionable insights from company data to understand performance, solve complex problems, and empower business growth.

Key Requirements:

• Hands-on Development: Build, develop, and maintain complex data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards, and performance metrics that support key business decisions.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Directly manage, motivate, and engage a team of two data analysts. Provide hands-on technical support, code/query reviews, and mentorship to foster their professional development.
• Insight Generation: Champion actionable insights and focus your team around their efficient development and delivery.
• Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.
• Workflow Management: Oversee the team's data request process, including tracking submitted requests, assessing scope, prioritizing effectively, and delegating tasks.
