Job summary

Leap29 is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer on a contract basis in London with hybrid on-site work. You will secure cloud and on-prem environments, lead security projects, and collaborate with engineering and product teams to protect patient data and healthcare systems.

You will implement security tooling, perform risk assessments, and stay ahead of threats while maintaining compliance with healthcare standards and GDPR.

Qualifications

• Senior-level security engineering experience
• Strong network, cloud and application security knowledge
• Hands-on with EDR, SIEM and vulnerability tooling
• Familiar with healthcare standards and GDPR

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver security projects with secure, timely execution
• Configure and optimise security tooling including EDR, SIEM and vulnerability management
• Strengthen cloud security posture across Azure and AWS
• Partner with engineering and DevOps to embed security by design
• Run risk assessments, vulnerability scans and threat modelling
• Investigate incidents and perform root cause analysis to drive improvements
• Support compliance activities against healthcare standards
• Provide security guidance on new technologies and initiatives
• Mentor colleagues and raise security awareness across the business
