Job summary

VIQU Limited is working with a leading global professional services organisation to fill a Senior Cyber Security Analyst role in Glasgow. This hands-on position focuses on threat detection, incident response, security controls across infrastructure, applications and endpoints, and continuous improvement.

You will act as a SME, mentor junior analysts, and collaborate with global teams to strengthen security operations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on security operations experience in SOC environments.
• Experience monitoring and responding to security alerts and incidents.
• Strong knowledge of security controls across infra, apps and endpoints.
• Experience with vulnerability management tools and threat intel.
• Mentoring junior analysts and collaborating with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead monitoring, investigation, and response to security alerts and incidents.
• Analyze logs, network traffic, and threat intel to identify threats.
• Manage complex security incidents including root cause and remediation.
• Implement, maintain, and optimise security controls across IT estate.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and security testing to close gaps.
• Mentor junior analysts and support BAU security operations.
• Collaborate with IT and infra teams to improve security practices.
• Maintain security documentation and monitor KPIs/SLAs.
