Job summary

Ashurst Perkins Coie in Glasgow is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Analyst to implement and maintain advanced security controls, conduct security assessments and respond to complex incidents. You will provide expert technical guidance and act as SME for the cyber security analysts, coordinating BAU activities, IR, event monitoring and response.

Qualifications

• Relevant Cyber Security and/or IT experience.
• Experience in metric reporting and KPI/SLA management.
• Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, SIEM, DLP and endpoint protection.
• Experience working with Jira, Azure DevOps, ITSM tools such as Cherwell and ServiceNow and the MS Office suite.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to collaborate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and enhance monitoring of security alerts and events using SIEM tools.
• Lead analysis of security logs and alerts to identify potential incidents.
• Perform and supervise comprehensive analysis of logs, network traffic, and data to detect threats.
• Implement and oversee corrective actions and security measures to prevent incidents.
• Develop and implement processes to prevent recurring security incidents.
