Job summary

Tesco is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to lead data product design, build scalable pipelines and create trusted dashboards for security analytics. You will work with cross-functional security and data teams to ensure governed, reliable data for reporting, ML and self-serve insights while championing responsible AI governance.

Qualifications

• Strong passion for big data, data modelling, data quality and ETLs.
• Proficiency in Python/PySpark and SQL.
• Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and orchestration tools such as Airflow and dbt.
• Experience with Databricks on Azure and data quality frameworks.
• Experience building dashboards with Tableau.
• Knowledge of Git and CI/CD processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data transformation pipelines across the raw, trusted and curated layers of the data platform.
• Design, build and manage logical and physical data models for threat detection and reporting.
• Develop high-quality data pipelines with clear documentation and peer reviews.
• Implement automation for deployment, testing, monitoring of data models and pipelines.
• Support analytics agents and AI-powered self-service analytics.
• Develop and maintain trusted dashboards and visualisations for self-service analytics and storytelling.
• Collaborate with security, engineering and data teams to translate needs into data products.
• Contribute to recruitment, coaching and development of Cyber Analytics team.
