Job summary

Craven College in Skipton is seeking a dedicated Curriculum Support Coordinator for a maternity cover. You will lead a team of Learner Support Assistants and support students with learning difficulties to reach their course goals.

The role involves EHCP reviews, coordinating student support, working with progress coaches, and ensuring safeguarding and equality policies are followed. Hours are 37 per week during term-time.

The post is fixed-term up to 12 months with a DBS disclosure required.

Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge of management of staff or willingness to undertake required training.
• Computer literate and able to use standard software.
• Experience of supporting people who have learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively and develop rapport with vulnerable adults and young people with special needs or learning difficulties.
• Ability to maintain student records and provide reports as required.
• Disclosure & Barring Service enhanced disclosure will be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective line management, supervision, and direction for Learner Support Assistants.
• Attend EHCP reviews and compile curriculum feedback reports.
• Lead departmental transition and coordinate support with progress coaches.
• Coordinate learner support with Pastoral and Study Support teams.
• Signpost students to appropriate college services for support.
• Escort and supervise students on educational visits and manage staffing accordingly.
• Ensure safeguarding, equality, and diversity policies are followed.
