Job summary

Craven College in Skipton, North Yorkshire, is seeking a committed Curriculum Support Coordinator for maternity cover. You will be the key contact for a caseload of high needs students, liaising with Curriculum Heads and Learner Support Assistants to ensure appropriate support and inclusive teaching.

The role involves line management, scheduling, performance reviews, and training, with a focus on delivering Individual Learning Plans and maintaining student records.

Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge of management of staff or willingness to undertake required training.
• Computer literate.
• Qualified to Level 2 (GCSE Grade A-C or equivalent) in English and maths (or willing to work towards completion within a specified time frame).
• Experience of supporting people who have learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively and develop rapport with vulnerable adults and young people with special needs or learning difficulties.
• Able to assist teaching staff in the delivery of Individual Learning Plans and students' core or essential goals.
• Ability to assist in the maintenance of student records and provide reports as required.
• Possess an approved Disclosure & Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure certificate or happy to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective line management, supervision, and direction for Learner Support Assistants including sickness, timetabling, performance management and training.
• Coordinate support for high-needs students in partnership with Curriculum Heads of Department.
• Liaise with teaching staff to implement reasonable adjustments and inclusive teaching and learning.
