Job summary

South Staffordshire College are seeking a Learning Support Assistant - With Care (Maternity Cover) to join Futures, a specialist facility at Rodbaston campus. The role supports students with severe and complex needs, helping them develop education, communication and social skills.

The successful candidate will work as part of the Learning Support team, with safeguarding training and DBS checks, and will participate in ongoing CPD as part of safeguarding commitments.

Qualifications

• Experience working with learners with SEND or learning difficulties (advantage).
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Provide learning support for students, developing education, communication, social, emotional and personal skills.
• Support students in line with personalised study programmes to reach their potential.
• Work effectively as part of the Learning Support team at Futures, Rodbaston campus.
