Job summary

AM Global in Blyth seeks a CSA Senior Cost Consultant to join a major hyperscale data centre programme, supporting cost management from procurement to final account. The role focuses on CSA packages across civil, structural and architectural workstreams and requires close collaboration with site leadership and contractors.

You will drive commercial outcomes, manage GMP procurement, FIDIC administration, change control, valuations, forecasting and final accounts within a complex project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Chartered status or professional qualification.
• CSCS card.

Responsibilities

• Support the Commercial Director in the commercial management of major CSA capital work packages from procurement to final account.
• Lead GMP development, negotiation and conversion to agreed package values where appropriate.
• Prepare and review valuations, payment recommendations and change control with the wider site commercial team.
• Contribute to cost reports, forecasts, CVRs and executive dashboards.
• Support administration of FIDIC contracts and wider commercial governance processes.
• Review tender analysis and reports prepared by the lead general contractor.
• Help manage commercial risks, opportunities and contingency.
• Collaborate with design, PMO, construction, procurement and commissioning teams as required.
• Support and lead, where agreed, the commercial management of enabling works and related packages.
• Support final accounts with the lead general contractor.
• Track costs, variances and forecasts within established financial systems.
• Ensure compliance with internal risk, governance and commercial assurance processes.
• Analyze commercial data and project documentation to identify themes and recommendations.
• Provide clear commercial advice to support project decisions.
• Share knowledge and contribute to service improvement within the cost management team.
• Build relationships with clients, contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders.
• Mentor junior colleagues on technical and project delivery matters where appropriate.
