Job summary

Matchtech is recruiting a CSA Site Engineer for a flagship data centre project in Blyth, Northumberland. This role focuses on CSA works across civil, structural and architectural scopes on a live data centre build.

You will coordinate with subcontractors, review drawings, support QA/QC, track progress and attend planning meetings to manage RFIs. A strong technical background and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven Data Centre experience (mission-critical environment).
• Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management.
• 3+ years CSA experience (civil/structural/architectural packages).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate CSA works across site activities and project phases.
• Review drawings, specs, and technical documentation.
• Support QA/QC processes and maintain site documentation.
• Progress tracking and reporting to senior engineering/management.
• Attend site/engineering/planning meetings and manage RFIs.
• Assist with setting out, checks, and dimensional verification.
• Support commercial tracking (variations/progress claims).
• Drive close-out of CSA snagging items.

The Project

Join a £10bn major data centre build programme delivering mission-critical infrastructure at scale.

The Role (CSA Site Engineer)

We're looking for an experienced CSA Site Engineer to support the delivery of Civil, Structural & Architectural works on a live data centre project. You'll work closely with subcontractors, supervisors, and the wider project team to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to spec.
Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating CSA works across site activities and project phases
• Reviewing drawings, specs, and technical documentation
• Supporting QA/QC processes and maintaining site documentation
• Progress tracking and reporting to senior engineering/management
• Attending site/engineering/planning meetings and managing RFIs
• Assisting with setting out, checks, and dimensional verification
• Supporting commercial tracking (variations/progress claims)
• Driving close-out of CSA snagging items

Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

• Proven Data Centre experience (mission-critical environment)
• Full UK Right to Work - no sponsorship assistance available

Experience / Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management (or similar)
• 3+ years CSA experience (civil/structural/architectural packages)
• Strong technical understanding of CSA methodologies and site practices
• Confident communicator; organised and collaborative working style
