Job summary

Swan Hellenic Cruises seeks an experienced Staff Chief Engineer to join the Swan Hellenic Diana. You will lead the engine department, supervise main propulsion and auxiliary systems, and ensure compliance with ISM, SOLAS and environmental regulations while maintaining safety and vessel readiness.

Requirements include STCW95, CoC A-III/2, proven shipboard leadership, strong diagnostics, and fluent English. This is a contract role with a 3 months on/off rotation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Staff Chief Engineer, preferably on cruise vessels.
• Strong technical and operational knowledge in engine departments.
• Valid STCW95 and flag-state certificates with CoC A-III/2.
• Excellent leadership and English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe operation and maintenance of all engine room machinery and systems.
• Ensure compliance with ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with other departments and external technicians as required.
• Maintain accurate engine logs and preventive maintenance schedules.
