Job summary

Swan Hellenic Diana is seeking an experienced Staff Chief Engineer to join the Engine department aboard our cruise vessel. The role covers technical, mechanical, electrical and environmental oversight to ensure safe, compliant operation. Embarkation 09 December 2026.

Contract is 3 months on / 3 months off. Fluent English, strong leadership and STCW certified candidates preferred. The ideal candidate has extensive cruise ship engineering experience and a track record of maintaining complex

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Staff Chief Engineer, preferably on cruise vessels.
• Strong technical and operational experience in a similar role.
• Valid STCW95 and flag-state certificates.
• Excellent command of English and leadership abilities.
• References from previous employers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all technical, mechanical, electrical and environmental matters in the engine department.
• Ensure systems and equipment operate to the highest standards for safe navigation.
• Coordinate with other technical teams and departments.
• Oversee maintenance of main propulsion and auxiliary machinery to ensure reliability.
