Job summary

Alliance Healthcare is seeking a Senior First Line Manager for Avonmouth Cross Dock Centre. You will lead Team Leaders and operatives, drive daily targets, and manage staffing to optimise productivity, quality and service.

This site-based role requires strong leadership, adherence to GDP/SOPs, and a proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement. Joining the team means taking responsibility for day-to-day performance, deputising for the CDC Manager when needed, and contributing to cost

Qualifications

Proven experience in warehouse, logistics, distribution, or supply chain.
Experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced operational setting.
Strong people management, coaching, and motivational skills.

Responsibilities

Lead, motivate, and develop Team Leaders and warehouse operatives to achieve daily operational targets.
Drive productivity, quality, and service performance in line with KPIs and budget expectations.
Implement daily staffing plans to ensure optimal operational performance and resource utilisation.
Monitor operational activity and escalate risks to senior management promptly.
Deliver training on SOPs, GDP, and housekeeping standards.
Promote a positive culture focused on engagement, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Support the CDC Manager and Site Leadership Team in achieving objectives.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and service delivery.
