Job summary

Cencora is seeking an experienced Senior First Line Manager for the Avonmouth Cross Dock Centre. You will lead Team Leaders and warehouse colleagues to achieve productivity, quality and service targets in a fast-paced distribution setting.

You will deputise for the CDC Manager as required, shaping a positive culture, coaching staff, and driving continuous improvement while ensuring budget and safety compliance are met.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse, logistics, distribution or supply chain.
• Experience leading and developing teams in fast-paced environments.
• Strong people management, coaching and motivational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and make decisions within guidelines.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and best practice.
• Experience supporting site operations at management level.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Team Leaders and operatives to hit daily targets.
• Drive productivity, quality and service in line with KPIs and budgets.
• Implement staffing plans for optimal performance and resource use.
• Monitor activity and escalate risks to senior management.
• Deliver training on SOPs, GDP and housekeeping standards.
• Conduct briefings, meetings and performance discussions.
• Promote a culture focused on engagement, safety and continuous improvement.
• Support leadership team to achieve departmental objectives.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with security, audit, health and safety requirements.
