Job summary

Gini in London seeks an experienced Senior Consultant or Manager to lead credit risk modelling engagements for regulated lenders. You will own methodologies, run workstreams, and maintain client relationships through steering meetings.

Expect hands-on work with IFRS 9, IRB and model validation, and a track record of delivering end-to-end projects. You will guide teams, defend analytical choices in client rooms, and shape the workstream, timetable and output while growing the firm’s risk

Qualifications

• 4 to 6 years in credit risk modelling, model validation or a closely related quantitative role.
• Depth in at least two of IFRS 9, IRB, scorecard development and model validation, with the range to pick up the rest.
• Evidence you have owned a workstream end to end: the method, the timetable and the write-up, with a director reviewing rather than steering.
• Experience reviewing other people’s models and code, and giving actionable feedback.
• The judgement to choose a method and the written argument to defend it to a validator or supervisor.
• Comfort in front of a client: running sessions, handling challenges, and flagging delays.

Responsibilities

• Own the methodology on an engagement, run the workstream and the colleagues on it, and manage client relationships between steering meetings.
• Lead IFRS 9 rebuilds or IRB development projects and defend findings in the room.
• Progress workstreams to budget and timetable, plan resourcing, and ensure deliverables stay publishable at milestones.
• Review the team’s models and code before client presentation, and provide concrete feedback.
• Support business development by shaping proposals with approach, methodology and pricing logic.
