Job summary

Blue Light Card Ltd is seeking a Senior Credit Controller to join the Finance team on a six-month fixed-term contract at the Cossington, Leicester site. You will own accounts receivable activities, support day-to-day operations, and drive process improvements in collaboration with partnerships and external platforms.

You will report to the Ledger Manager and play a key role in debt management, reconciling activity, and maintaining relationships with internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• Solid, hands-on experience in Accounts Receivable or Credit Control.
• Proven ability to contact customers to discuss balances and resolve disputes.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to interrogate large datasets.
• Experience building and maintaining internal/external relationships.
• Methodical, accurate reconciliation work with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Own credit control activity across Direct and Affiliate revenue streams, collecting debt and escalating non-paying accounts.
• Post cashbook entries from bank feeds and allocate receipts accurately within timeframes.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies with external partners to reach resolution.
• Produce and distribute the accounts receivable ledger weekly and monthly to Finance and stakeholders.
• Issue monthly customer statements and resolve queries and disputes promptly.
• Manage transactions within the data validation pipeline, ensuring data integrity.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and automate reconciliations and BAU processes.
