British Business Bank plc is seeking a legal professional to provide in-house support on contentious matters across its activities. You will collaborate with product teams, risk and governance functions to manage litigation, regulatory challenges and disputes.

The role emphasizes advisory support, governance engagement with internal and external stakeholders, including HM Treasury and UKGI, and delivering commercially aware legal guidance from a financial services perspective.

Qualifications

• 5+ years PQE in contentious matters.
• Experience advising on litigation in financial services.
• FOIA experience is advantageous.
• In-house or private practice background preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide legal support on contentious matters across the Bank.
• Advise Product Teams, Risk, Compliance with commercially aware advice.
• Support governance and escalation processes with internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
• Engage with DBT, HM Treasury and UKGI as required.
• Operate in an in-house financial services context.
