Job summary

British Business Bank plc seeks a Counsel to support funds-based transactions and broader legal matters within the Legal & Corporate Governance team. You will advise on investment structures, financial regulation and commercial issues, collaborating with product teams, central functions and external advisers.

Experience advising on funds transactions, ideally in financial services or asset management, and a UK qualification are essential.

Qualifications

Experience advising on funds transactions, ideally in financial services or asset management.
UK legal qualification and ability to explain advice clearly to stakeholders.
Ability to work across funds-based transactions and related matters.

Responsibilities

Provide legal support across funds-based transactions and related matters within Legal & Corporate Governance.
Advise on investment structures, financial regulation and commercial matters with product teams and external advisers.
Support transactions involving debt funds, VC funds, funds-of-funds, listed funds and other investment vehicles; manage legal advice and due diligence.
Demonstrate experience advising on funds transactions and UK regulatory considerations.
