Senior Cost Manager – Water & Infrastructure

Job summary

Turner & Townsend in the United Kingdom is seeking experienced Cost Managers to support major water, wastewater and infrastructure programmes. You will deliver cost planning, estimating, forecasting, cost control and reporting across projects, while working with clients, contractors and delivery partners to optimise value.

The role requires strong governance, safety and delivery excellence, with familiarity of NEC contracts and a consultancy mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience in infrastructure, engineering or construction with client-facing delivery.
• Experience delivering cost and commercial management across infrastructure projects.
• Ability to manage defined packages/scopes and escalate complex matters.
• Produces accurate, timely cost information with oversight.
• Experience with cost plans, budgets, forecasts and reports.
• Experience supporting procurement, tendering and negotiations.
• Experience managing valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Strong cost/contract advice to meet KPIs.
• Stakeholder management with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Awareness of health, safety and CDM principles.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts administration and risk management.
• Experience in consultancy environment and independent advisor mindset.
• Growth mindset and collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Cost planning, estimating, forecasting, cost control, change control, commercial reporting and contract administration across water and infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and delivery partners to optimise financial, commercial and project outcomes while maintaining safety and quality.
