Job summary

TES is seeking a Senior Cost Engineer to lead cost management within the Hinkley Point C project. You will oversee a portfolio of contracts ranging £10m–£500m, direct Cost Engineers, and act as the primary cost management representative to Program Directors and stakeholders.

Role requires 10+ years in cost and forecasting within a regulated energy/infrastructure environment, with strong capability in EcoSys, SAP, and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum HND (or equivalent) in Project Management, Project Controls, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years in a Cost and Forecasting role within a complex, highly regulated industry (energy, nuclear, major infrastructure).
• Expertise: Proven track record of multi-stakeholder interfaces, technical leadership, and integration across project controls disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership & Team Guidance: Direct daily tasks and provide guidance to Cost Engineers and Trainee Cost Engineers.
• Contract & Data Management: Oversee cost and forecast data across high-value contracts (£10m–£500m) in alignment with CBS/WBS; ensure data integrity in EcoSys and SAP.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Decision Support: Partner with Directors to review issues, run scenario planning, and present insights at board reviews.
• Trend & Risk Integration: Link cost data with schedule, risk, and change management to inform baseline estimates.
• Reporting & Dashboards: Manage data outputs in Power BI dashboards and ensure high-quality cost reporting.
• Governance & Information Security: Support governance and compliance with Sensitive Nuclear Information.
