Job summary

Vulcain Engineering UK seeks a Cost Engineer to join the Integrated Project Controls team on the Hinkley Point C project in Bridgwater. You will manage and control project finances, analyse cost performance, and report to senior stakeholders to ensure alignment with progress and plans.

The role requires experience in cost management for major infrastructure or regulated projects, knowledge of EVM and cost management software, and the ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Cost Engineer on major infrastructure, energy or highly regulated projects.
• Understanding of cost management methodologies and techniques.
• Ability to understand and use cost management software.
• Understanding of earned value analysis

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project/programme plans with full costing, WBSs, resource management and cost management of risk.
• Manage change control and update configuration documentation as project scope changes.
• Understand baseline control and different types of baseline change.
• Use tools like EVM to assess cost performance against the baseline schedule.
• Incorporate risk and opportunities into the cost plan/schedule.
• Produce monthly cost reports and integrate with project estimates and schedules.
