Framatome is recruiting a Senior Cost Controller to oversee cost forecasting, budgeting and performance across a multi-project nuclear portfolio in the United Kingdom. You will drive EVM, cashflow management and centralised reporting, ensuring robust cost control across the EPC-style programme.

You will mentor junior staff, implement best practices and deliver meaningful insights to project managers and senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Dedicated experience in Project Cost Control, Cost Engineering, Project Cost Accounting or Project Controls roles.
• Experience within large Nuclear, Construction, Engineering, EPC, Infrastructure or Industrial projects.
• Strong understanding of project budgeting, forecasting and cost management principles.
• Practical experience of Earned Value Management (EVM) and/or Cashflow management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Experience presenting cost performance information to Project Managers and senior stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience using SAP.

Responsibilities

• Setting the standards and procedures for cost control across all projects.
• Develop the tools and templates used for cost control across all projects.
• Be responsible for identifying and correcting deviations from the above tools and procedures.
• Be responsible for the alignment and upskilling of all staff in cost control through training, guides and communities of practice.
• Co-ordinate and manage all activities within the cost control sub-discipline delivered through Cost Controllers and Project Controllers.
• Manage the structure and content of SAP projects including creating projects and ensuring project & WBS adherence with business and project standards.
• Utilise SAP to extract data and produce cost reports across the project portfolio, including centralised reporting such as the PFR/ CCR cycle and Cost of Non Quality (CoNQ).
• Provide interrogation, assurance and enhanced analysis of cost data on projects, providing consolidated assessments to project, programme and portfolio managers.
• Be actively involved in the development of estimates and costings for tender projects and maintain centralised supporting data such as norms and productivity rates.
• Support the implementation and production of project cost management activities and reporting including invoicing, variations, cost v budget/ price, EVM, cashflow.
• Provide day-to-day cost control support and guidance across all elements of projects and the business.
