Job summary

BW Packaging seeks a Controls Engineer, Innovation to translate bold automation ideas into working packaging technologies. You will design, prove, and scale controls for PLCs, HMIs, motion, robotics, vision, and safety, collaborating with Product, Applications, Sales, and Field Service teams to deliver reliable solutions across projects.

Expect a balance of 70% technology development and 30% customer-project support, with opportunities to shape scalable products and drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree or equivalent experience in automation/controls.
• Strong PLC and HMI development experience with hands-on testing.
• Experience in robotics, vision, sensors, and safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement control solutions for packaging technologies.
• Develop prototypes, perform testing, and validate concepts with data.
• Collaborate across Product, Applications, Sales, and Field Service teams.
