BW Packaging is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to design, program, and support electrical control systems for automated packaging machinery. The role partners with mechanical, manufacturing, and service teams to deliver safe, reliable equipment that meets customer and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in electrical controls design, strong PLC/HMI experience, and proficiency with major robotic platforms.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, automation/controls or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical controls design and PLC/HMI development.
• Strong PLC programming experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley preferred.
• Experience with HMI development and motion control systems.
• Experience programming major robotic platforms (FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa/Motoman).
• Experience integrating robots with PLCs, HMIs, motion systems, and vision inspection systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical and/or EPLAN.
• Solid understanding of industrial networks and machine safety systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex electromechanical and robotic controls systems.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.

Mansioni

• Develop and program PLC, HMI, motion control, and robotic systems for automated packaging lines.
• Program and configure industrial robots (FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa/Motoman) for pick-and-place, palletizing, and packaging tasks.
• Optimize robot paths, EOAT interfaces, payloads, and cycle times.
• Integrate robots with PLCs, safety, vision, and peripheral equipment via industrial protocols.
• Configure and commission servo axes, sensors, vision systems, scanners, printers, and inspection devices.
• Troubleshoot safety systems including guards, light curtains, and safety stops.
• Support machine build, debugging, and validation during FAT/SAT.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless robotics integration.
• Develop technical documentation and field support materials.
