Job summary

ReeVR in the United Kingdom is seeking a Controls & Automation Engineer to work on bespoke automation projects across industrial applications, from design through on-site installation and commissioning. You will develop and program PLC-based control systems, support the integration of material handling and conveyor systems, and work with electrical hardware, sensors and HMI software.

Qualifications

Experience in a controls, automation or electrical engineering role.
Knowledge of PLC programming, ideally Siemens or similar platforms.
Experience with HMI development and industrial control systems.
An understanding of electrical schematics, sensors, actuators and control hardware.
Experience fault-finding and troubleshooting automated machinery or industrial equipment.
An understanding of industrial communication protocols and system integration.
A practical, hands-on approach to engineering and problem-solving.
The ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Developing, programming and supporting PLC-based control systems.
Supporting the design and integration of automated material handling and conveyor systems.
Working with control panels, electrical systems, sensors, actuators and industrial equipment.
Developing and modifying PLC and HMI software to meet project requirements.
Integrating control systems with wider automation equipment and software platforms.
Carrying out system testing, fault-finding, debugging and performance optimisation.
Supporting factory acceptance testing, installation and commissioning at customer sites.
Diagnosing electrical, software and communication issues across integrated systems.
Working collaboratively with mechanical, electrical and project engineering teams.
Providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle, from development through to customer handover.
