ReeVR Talent partners with a growing specialist engineering business that designs and builds bespoke special-purpose machinery for customers across the UK and internationally. They are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to join their Technology team, covering the full project lifecycle from electrical design and PLC programming through to machine build, testing and installation.

The role will involve hands-on development with international travel typically 1–3 times per year and

Qualifications

• Practical wiring and control panel building experience.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience reading and creating electrical schematics.
• PLC programming and diagnostics experience.
• Experience with 2D CAD / electrical design software.
• Knowledge of machinery and automation.
• 18th Edition electrical knowledge advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Design electrical control systems for bespoke machinery.
• Produce electrical drawings and schematics.
• Program and diagnose PLCs.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults.
• Design and develop machinery safety systems.
• Support build, installation and commissioning.
• Carry out electrical modifications and site assessments.
• Assist in component selection and procurement.
• Update legacy drawings and support continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with mechanical design, production, maintenance, customers and suppliers.
