Job summary

Bridges Electrical Engineers seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to deliver accurate designs within budgets and timescales. You will create production drawings, collaborate with PMs and design teams, and ensure compliance throughout project lifecycles.

Responsibilities include technical calculations, material research, and supporting workshop teams with up-to-date designs. Flexible remote/hybrid options are available to suit working patterns.

Qualifications

• Experience with control systems and electrical design
• Proficiency with electrical drawing software
• Knowledge of LV switchgear and instrumentation
• Experience with PLCs and automation
• Familiarity with relevant electrical standards and regulations

Responsibilities

• Capture client requirements and create project specifications.
• Collaborate with Project Manager and Design Manager to meet client needs and regulatory compliance.
• Produce designs and production/assembly drawings per design specs.
• Perform technical design calculations and material research for cost effectiveness.
• Support workshop during manufacturing with up-to-date designs and accurate parts lists.
• Undertake site and client visits as required.
• Communicate progress to stakeholders from concept to completion.
