Job summary

Bridges Electrical Engineers Ltd is seeking a design engineer to collaboratively develop accurate electrical designs for projects across water, power, energy, and aggregates sectors. You will ensure designs meet client requirements, budgets, and timelines, while coordinating with project managers and other disciplines.

Role involves producing 2D production drawings, ordering materials to meet manufacturing schedules, and supporting workshop staff with up-to-date designs.

Qualifications

• Experience with control systems and LV networks.
• Experience with electrical drawing software and PLCs.
• Experience with instrumentation and LV switchgear.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to gain client requirements and create project specifications.
• Work with Project Manager and Design Manager to ensure designs meet client requirements and regulations.
• Produce designs in accordance with specifications through technical innovation.
• Ensure design integrity through technical design calculations and material research.
• Create production and assembly drawings using a 2D CAD system.
• Be aware of environmental standards related to the design.
• Undertake site and client visits as required.
• Communicate progress to stakeholders from concept to completion.
• Liaise with end clients to update on project progress.
