Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Control & Instrumentation Engineer to join the expanding PPP team in Birchwood or Cumbria. The role focuses on leading C&I solutions across all project phases, delivering designs, reviews, and handovers with a strong emphasis on safety compliance and integration.

Qualifications

BEng/MEng in Control & Instrumentation Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical & ElectronicEngineering or equivalent, or demonstrable experience with HNC/HND.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and delivery of C&I engineering solutions across project lifecycle.
Produce, review and approve C&I deliverables per standards and procedures.
Manage the C&I design configuration baseline and control changes.
Provide technical oversight of control/instrumentation systems and safety requirements.
Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure design compliance and testing acceptance.
Coordinate C&I activities with other disciplines using BIM for effective integration.
Ensure designs align with safety case, functional requirements and project objectives.
Mentor junior engineers and graduates in the discipline.
Support commissioning, testing and handover with technical leadership.
