Job summary

Amentum is the Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield, delivering a 20-year programme valued at around £7bn. We seek a Senior Control and Instrumentation Engineer to join the CE&I design team for SRP, delivering instrumentation design for piping services and integrating with building management systems across the nuclear site.

You will contribute to design deliverables, liaise with the supply chain, and assist commissioning, ensuring compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience in CE&I design.
• Professional registration or actively pursuing it within a recognised institution.
• Nuclear sector experience is desirable but not essential with demonstrable capability.
• Strong communication across all levels of the engineering organisation.

Responsibilities

• Design instrumentation systems and specify instruments for pressure, flow, temp, and level.
• Integrate building service packages with control systems and power distribution.
• Produce, check and review CE&I design deliverables to programme deadlines and standards.
• Experience with Building Management Systems: spec, design, install, and commission.
• Coordinate CE&I systems into the SRP Plant via BIM with other disciplines.
• Support commissioning team activities on the project.
• Address CE&I installation on a nuclear site, including risk assessments and snag resolutions.
