North Yorkshire Councils is seeking an experienced Level 3 Contract Supervisor to lead the Housing Standards Team in delivering investment, improvement and adaptation programmes across more than 8,500 council homes. You will oversee a varied portfolio of contracts from capital works to major adaptations, ensuring safety, quality and value for residents.

Formación

• Experience in building maintenance, construction practices, and relevant regulations.
• Experience managing complex planned maintenance, capital investment, compliance, adaptation or construction projects.
• Strong analytical and numeracy skills with data interpretation and reporting ability.
• Travel across housing stock localities as required.

Responsabilidades

• Lead day-to-day contract management and monitor contractor performance.
• Coordinate procurement, mobilisation and management of external contracts.
• Chair contract liaison meetings and ensure actions are tracked and followed up.
• Oversee delivery of minor/major adaptation works and planned maintenance.
• Inspect works to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with standards.
• Develop specifications and participate in tender processes.
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous service improvements.
• Build relationships with tenants, contractors, consultants and residents.
