Methods Business and Digital Technology is recruiting a Senior Content Designer to craft user-centred content for public-sector projects. You will work remotely with occasional UK travel, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring accessibility and GOV.UK standards are met.

You will mentor junior designers, shape content strategies, and engage stakeholders to explain design decisions while maintaining high-quality output and inclusive practices.

Qualifications

• Producing user-centred content that meets GDS/GOV.UK standards.
• Experience in end-to-end journeys and identifying where content needs improvement.
• Work in an agile multidisciplinary team and advocate for content design.
• Communicate complex digital product concepts to stakeholders.
• Manage relationships and explain content decisions.
• Champion user-centred design and accessibility in products.
• Collaborate with user researchers to gain insights.
• Regular content quality reviews and iterative improvements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, write and manage usable, accessible content per guidelines.
• Produce accurate, timely content that is easy to understand and SEO-friendly.
• Manage stakeholders and explain content decisions.
• Use analysis to solve design problems and challenge assumptions.
• Advocate for accessible digital products and services.
• Contribute to Content Design Community of Practice and share ideas.
• Coach and mentor other content designers.
• Support lead content designer with planning, training, and recruitment.
• Help create a welcoming, inclusive team environment.
