Job summary

Meritus are recruiting for a Content Designer to join a leading organisation delivering UK Central Government and Defence programmes. This role is remote-first (with occasional travel to client sites in Taunton) and requires SC clearance.

You will bring strong writing skills, accessibility knowledge and a user-centred approach, with experience in content strategy, user research and information architecture.

Qualifications

• SC Clearance is required.
• Strong writing and editing skills.
• Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design.
• Experience with content strategy and information architecture.
• Ability to test content with users.

Responsibilities

• Create clear, accessible and user-centred content.
• Work across the service lifecycle to understand user needs.
• Shape content strategy and improve information architecture.
• Write, test and iterate content based on user feedback.
• Collaborate with user researchers, interaction designers and service designers.
• Ensure content is a core part of the user experience.
