Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Banking Consultant to lead our consulting team and provide expert guidance to our clients in the banking sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of banking operations, especially in the areas of regulatory compliance, risk management, and audit covering financial products and market trends. Exceptional leadership and client management skills are essential.

This role requires a strong balance of sales acumen, consulting delivery expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of banking. The candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, overseeing complex consulting engagements, and positioning the organization as a trusted partner for digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Development

  • Develop and implement strategies to identify, pursue, and secure new consulting opportunities in the banking sector.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline by engaging with C-suite and senior banking executives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to craft compelling proposals and value propositions tailored to client needs.
  • Foster long-term relationships to drive revenue, cross-selling, and repeat business.
  • Monitor industry trends and develop go-to-market strategies for consulting offerings.

Consulting Delivery

  • Lead the delivery of complex banking transformation projects, ensuring quality and alignment with client goals.
  • Oversee process consulting initiatives to analyze and improve business processes.
  • Work with clients to define and execute operational projects, driving efficiency and transformation.
  • Manage project teams, ensuring resource optimization and client satisfaction.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing thought leadership on industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Leadership and Collaboration

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance banking operations and profitability.
  • Monitor economic and market trends to advise clients effectively.
  • Manage and mentor a team of banking consultants, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
  • Contribute to thought leadership through white papers and industry reports.

Domain Knowledge:

Experience in banking across departments such as Retail Banking, Wealth Management, Credit Cards, Payments, Corporate Banking, Treasury, Securities Services, Trade Services, and Factoring.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in banking or financial consulting, with leadership experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills with senior executives.
  • Relevant certifications such as Six Sigma, PMP, are a plus.
