Job summary

JMC Legal Recruitment in London is seeking a 2–7 PQE qualified construction solicitor for a non-contentious role within a leading team handling high‑quality development projects. You will work with developers, investors, landlords and occupiers on a broad range of non-contentious matters.

Qualifications

• 2–7 years' PQE in non-contentious construction law.
• Solid experience drafting and negotiating non-contentious construction documentation.
• Experience advising on construction aspects of real estate transactions and/or development projects.
• Comfortable taking ownership of matters and managing your workload with appropriate supervision.
• A genuine interest in continuing to develop a specialist career in construction law.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and clients.
• Commercially minded, with excellent attention to detail and the confidence to deal directly with clients where appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating a wide range of construction documents, including building contracts, consultant appointments, collateral warranties, letters of intent and development agreements.
• Advising clients throughout the lifecycle of development projects, from procurement through to completion.
• Managing your own matters with appropriate support from Partners and senior lawyers.
• Working closely with the firm's highly regarded Real Estate team on a variety of high-value development projects.
• Developing client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives.
