Job summary

QED Legal Recruitment Limited's client in London is seeking a construction solicitor with 1-2 years PQE to focus on contentious construction matters.

You will work on disputes including time and delay claims, workmanship issues, and professional negligence, and you will draft and negotiate building contracts (principally JCT contracts), plus related terms such as collateral warranties and performance bonds, and you will handle your own files as well as assist others on larger transactions.

Job description

1-2 yrs PQE Construction Solicitor role in London.

This role will predominantly involve working on contentious Construction law matters.

My Client's construction team works for a wide range of clients including nationally known housebuilders, developers, industrial and commercial clients, entrepreneurs, HNW individuals, construction professionals, main contractors, and sub-contractors.

You will work across matters such as disputed accounts, time and delay claims, workmanship and materials issues, and professional negligence as well asdrafting and negotiating building contracts (principally JCT contracts) as well as professional terms of engagement, collateral warranties, parent company guarantees and performance bonds.

You willwork on your own files, as well as assist others on larger transactions.
